What is Films Heardle?

Films Heardle is a free music quiz in the browser, inspired by Heardle: you hear 1 s of a film track and guess the film, with longer clips if you need them. Every day brings a new daily challenge, the same for everyone, plus a 30-level quest and unlimited free play.

How the Films Heardle quest works

The quest is a 30-level pass whose challenges rotate between game modes. You get one try a day, plus one if you beat the daily challenge, and every few levels unlock XP and cosmetics.

Three cups can also be played without limit: Novice (5 well-known tracks, 3 hearts), Veteran (8 tracks, clip shifted by 20 s, 2 hearts) and Final Boss (5 rare tracks, clip shifted by 15 s, 1 heart).

Film music

From John Williams' fanfares (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park) to Hans Zimmer's soundscapes (Inception, Interstellar, Dune), through Ennio Morricone, Howard Shore or Yann Tiersen, plus the songs that became one with their film, from My Heart Will Go On to Eye of the Tiger. A saga counts as one film; Ghibli and Disney have universes of their own.
