What is Sonic Heardle?

Sonic Heardle is a free music quiz in the browser, inspired by Heardle: you hear 1 s of a Sonic track and guess the game, with longer clips if you need them. Every day brings a new daily challenge, the same for everyone, plus a 30-level quest and unlimited free play.

How the Sonic Heardle daily challenge works

Every day brings one new track, the same for every player. You hear 1 s of it and have 3 tries to find the game; each miss or skip unlocks a longer clip (1 s, 4 s and 8 s).

Win to grow your streak, then share your result without spoiling the answer. Past days can be replayed from the calendar, but they do not count toward stats or the streak.

From Masato Nakamura on the Mega Drive to Jun Senoue and Tomoya Ohtani on the 3D games, Sonic music blends pop, rock and electro: Green Hill Zone, Live & Learn, City Escape or Undefeatable have become anthems. Each game has its own sound, from the Genesis days to Sonic Frontiers. The games are listed in release order.
