What is Zelda Heardle?

Zelda Heardle is a free music quiz in the browser, inspired by Heardle: you hear 1 s of a Zelda track and guess the game, with longer clips if you need them. Every day brings a new daily challenge, the same for everyone, plus a 30-level quest and unlimited free play.

How the Zelda Heardle daily challenge works

Every day brings one new track, the same for every player. You hear 1 s of it and have 3 tries to find the game; each miss or skip unlocks a longer clip (1 s, 4 s and 8 s).

Win to grow your streak, then share your result without spoiling the answer. Past days can be replayed from the calendar, but they do not count toward stats or the streak.

From Koji Kondo's NES melodies to the orchestral scores of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, Zelda has one of the most recognisable soundtracks in gaming. Village themes, dungeons and ocarina songs come back from one game to the next, often rearranged: that is what makes this quiz hard, you have to recognise the version, not just the tune.
