About Pokémon Heardle

What is Pokémon Heardle?

Pokémon Heardle is a free music quiz in the browser, inspired by Heardle: you hear 1 s of a Pokémon track and guess the game, with longer clips if you need them. Every day brings a new daily challenge, the same for everyone, plus a 30-level quest and unlimited free play.

How to play Pokémon Heardle

Press play to hear 1 s of a track, then type the game. Not sure? Unlock a longer clip (1 s, 3 s, 6 s and 12 s): the sooner you answer, the more points you score (4, 3, 2, 1). Name the exact track title afterwards for one more point. You start with 3 hearts and lose one per mistake.

Free play has several modes: Classic, Sudden death (one heart), Time attack (90 seconds), Reverse (find the right clip among three) and Single game. Correct answers in a row build a combo, and the best scores go on the leaderboard.

The music of Pokémon

The soundtracks by Junichi Masuda, Go Ichinose and their successors cover every generation, from Red & Blue on Game Boy to Scarlet & Violet and Legends Z-A. Routes, towns, trainer battles and Pokémon Centers: remakes often reuse the same themes with a new arrangement, so you have to tell the original from its remake. The catalog follows the main series and the Legends games, from the Game Boy to the Switch.

1954 tracks from 17 games: Red & Blue, Gold & Silver, Ruby & Sapphire, FireRed & LeafGreen, Diamond & Pearl, HeartGold & SoulSilver, Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, X & Y, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Sun & Moon, Let's Go, Pikachu & Eevee, Sword & Shield, Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Legends: Arceus, Scarlet & Violet and Legends: Z-A.
