What is Mario Heardle?

Mario Heardle is a free music quiz in the browser, inspired by Heardle: you hear 1 s of a Super Mario track and guess the game, with longer clips if you need them. Every day brings a new daily challenge, the same for everyone, plus a 30-level quest and unlimited free play.

How the Mario Heardle quest works

The quest is a 30-level pass whose challenges rotate between game modes. You get one try a day, plus one if you beat the daily challenge, and every few levels unlock XP and cosmetics.

Three cups can also be played without limit: Novice (5 well-known tracks, 3 hearts), Veteran (8 tracks, clip shifted by 20 s, 2 hearts) and Final Boss (5 rare tracks, clip shifted by 15 s, 1 heart).

The music of Mario

The Mario universe goes well beyond the platformers: Mario Kart, Mario Party, Paper Mario, the RPGs, Donkey Kong Country, Yoshi and Wario are all in. Koji Kondo wrote the first themes, which have been reused and reorchestrated for forty years. It is the largest universe on the site, with a lot of spin-offs to tell apart.
