What is Animal Crossing Heardle?

Animal Crossing Heardle is a free music quiz in the browser, inspired by Heardle: you hear 1 s of an Animal Crossing track and guess the game, with longer clips if you need them. Every day brings a new daily challenge, the same for everyone, plus a 30-level quest and unlimited free play.

How the Animal Crossing Heardle quest works

The quest is a 30-level pass whose challenges rotate between game modes. You get one try a day, plus one if you beat the daily challenge, and every few levels unlock XP and cosmetics.

Three cups can also be played without limit: Novice (5 well-known tracks, 3 hearts), Veteran (8 tracks, clip shifted by 20 s, 2 hearts) and Final Boss (5 rare tracks, clip shifted by 15 s, 1 heart).

The music of Animal Crossing

Kazumi Totaka, Kenta Nagata and Manaka Kataoka built the Animal Crossing soundtrack around a simple idea: a different tune for every hour of the day, rewritten in each game. On top come the themes of the shops, the town hall and the museum, and K.K. Slider songs, grouped on their own since they come back in every game. The games are listed in release order, from the first Animal Crossing on GameCube to New Horizons.
